A key element of our success is the high quality milk we source from local
farms. The Waikato is a region of lush green hills and rolling productive
farmland and is one of the richest agricultural and pastoral areas of the
world. Open Country is strategically placed in this region to take full
advantage of the ideal environment for dairy farming.
On our site we have built a state of the art cheese plant capable of
producing a range of semi-hard to hard dry-salted cheeses. And we are
presently building a whey powder plant to compliment the cheese plant.
However, we realise that it is not just our cheese that is important to
our success, but also our customers. We work hard to build close
relationships with our customers and we have the ability to fine tune our
production to meet specific customer requirements."
